1 – Get through no sentido de lidar ou passar por alguma situação difícil:

Os refugiados precisarão de ajuda para passar pelo inverno.

Eu só tenho que passar pelos primeiros cinco minutos do meu discurso e então eu ficarei bem.

She was relying on luck to get her through.
Ela estava contando com a sorte para passar (por algo).
(Perceba que acima coloquei um complemento na frase porque em português, sem complemento ela não faria sentido. Já em inglês, ela faz.)

He needs a lot of coffee to get him through the day.
Ele precisa de muito café para passar pelo dia.

How did he ever get through his driving test?
Como ele conseguiu passar pelo teste de direção?

Customs was a mess, but we got through with all our baggage in only twenty minutes.
A alfândega estava uma bagunça, mas nós passamos por ela com toda nossa bagagem em apenas vinte minutos.

2 – Get through como conectar-se pelo telefone. Veja que neste caso, optei por traduções literais do phrasal verb para que fique claro, mesmo que não seja a maneira que falamos em português:

I couldn’t get through – the line was engaged.
Eu não consegui me conectar, a linha estava ocupada.

finally got through to Warren on his mobile.
Eu finalmente me conectei com Warren em seu celular.

I tried to get through to an operator, but I couldn’t get past the recording.
Eu tentei me conectar a um operador, mas eu não conseguia passar da gravação.

If the line is busy, keep calling until you get through.
Se a linha estiver ocupada, continue ligando até você se conectar.

3 – Get through no sentido de finalizar um assunto ou trabalho:

There was a lot to get through in the meeting.

The teacher hoped to get through to the students by relating the subject to popular music.
